Lindos
Lindos is said to be the most impressive archaeological site on Rhodes! It is a combination of the fortified acropolis and a unique traditional settlement of post-card charm. Despite the tiring climb, the experience of entering Venetian castles, significant Byzantine temples and finally, reaching the impressive porticos of the classical temple, is something that you could not experience in the same manner anywhere else.
The traditional settlement stands out form the distinctive pilaster artwork of the entrance doors at the old houses with their ornate fieldstone
courtyards. the Metropolitan Cathedral of Lindos with its hagiographies and ornate iconostasis is also of exceptional beauty.
